First, Friday evening play has stopped again for basketball season. Table tennis should be starting up again around March 29. The Green Lake Community Center will be closed on Friday, November 10th (Veterans Day), and Friday, November 24 (Day after Thanksgiving) We are waiting to hear when our last Friday will be before the basketball league takes over the gym. There is no table tennis at Green Lake CC on 7/4. Also, our Wednesday playtimes are ending after 7/5, and will resume in September. Thank you to 160 of you who have signed our petition to have our weekend playtimes restored. That leaves 850 others who have not yet signed. Please help us restore weekend evening table tennis at Green Lake Community Center The Green Lake Community Center announced in September of 2021 that after 26 continuous years, they could no longer provide weekend table tennis. The reason given was that the off-hours weekend program violated cash handling policy and was non-standard within Seattle Parks & Recreation (SPR).
