We will be having open play again on Tuesday and Fridays evenings, 6 pm to 9 pm starting Tuesday, April 4, and Friday, April 7. Unlike last year, Tuesdays and Fridays will be free for the 2017-2018 season. This change is a result of city-wide rule that makes all drop-in use of the community centers during regular hours free. Tuesday and Friday play starting with the 2018-2019 season will be organized under the Parks and Recreation “class” structure with still-to-be-determined pricing.
These changes go along with a Parks & Recreation request that we make the GLTTC as welcoming as possible for new and beginner level players. One expected change will be to set aside one or more tables for beginners where the “winner stays on the table” rule will not apply.
We will also be soliciting stewards for Tuesday and Friday evenings who can make sure the tables are set up and taken down correctly, and that new players are welcomed and oriented. If you are interested in helping, please contact info@PROTECTED.
