Date: May 21st 2020

The City of Seattle is moving forward with plans to replace the Green Lake Community Center. The architecture firm, Miller Hull is starting the process by evaluating locations around Green Lake, and by soliciting public comment. The deadline for comment on this phase is tomorrow, May 22. It is vital that we advocate for our program now and through final design. Please go to the Online Open House at https://glcc.infocommunity.org/ and fill out the survey. There are two pages of the survey. Be sure to click "Submit" on each page before continuing. Please mention table tennis in a couple of spots. On the second questionaire page under "What activities do you participate in ...", click "Other", and say "table tennis".

Under, "How did you learn about this project?", enter something like "table tennis community email message".

I would like to reach out directly to Miller Hull to let them know what features and amenidies we need. Please reply if you would like to help draft some information for them, or if you have ideas. I'd like to clarify these before contacting them ...

  • Space and layout of gym/play area
  • Waiting area for players, friends, or parents
  • Lighting level and outside light mitigation
  • Storage space
  • Alternate smaller space (like we had for the old drop-in table)
