Hello all, Green Lake staff has advised us that the gym will be closed on Wednesdays from July 13 -- August 24 due to youth sports camps running in the gym. Many of you have been wondering what has happened to Saturday/Sunday table tennis at Green Lake Community Center. Last September, GLCC coordinator, Chris Easterday, let us know that weekend table tennis could not continue as it has for the last 10 years with the city's building monitor handling the $5 cash payments. Apparently, this has always violated city policy that requires at least two employees to be working when cash is handled. Dear table tennis community, Green Lake Community Center gym will be open Friday evenings for play from 6 pm - 8:45 pm Friday evenings, starting April 15. There is no pre-registration required and no mandatory vaccination. Please bring your Seattle Parks and Recreation QuickCard if you already have one, or be prepared to create one when you come in. Dear table tennis community, Green Lake Community Center has announced that starting in April, the online Flex-Registration for drop-in table tennis will no longer be required. Drop-in play will be open as before. The Quick Card system (same as used before the pandemic) will be in place. Please remember to bring your Quick Card starting the week of April 5th. Table tennis is coming back to the Green Lake Community Center following our long COVID-19 break! We will start out with only Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings. The first night will be Tuesday, November 9. Unlike before the pandemic, you must now pre-register. We will be setting up only 8 tables, and allowing a maximum of 16 players on each day.
