The GLTTC will be having a fundraiser in order to purchase 5 new Joola tables and sunset the rest of our Killerspin tables. The the City has brought us 6 of the Joola tables over the last several years with the understanding that the players would match that. Now is the time. We are working with Sonia Doughty, the fundraising specialist at the Seattle ARC office. ARC will provide an online "kickstarter" style platform. The fundraiser will run from February 1 to February 29. During that time we will raise at l ...Continue Reading

Our community center purchased 2 more Joola tables for us this week. We are immensely greatful to GLCC Coordinator Chris Easterday and the Green Lake Advisory Council. We will now have 8 Joola tables. We'll be selling off several older Killerspin tables to make room in our storage area. Until then, please put the extra and broken Killerspin tables in the back and mark them "do not use". The tables that the community center has purchased this year are not an outright gift. I have agreed on behalf o ...Continue Reading

The Green Lake Advisory Council (GLAC) has purchased two additional Joola tables for us, and is printing posters to help attract new players. The GLAC was able to buy the tables because of a revenue surplus in 2018. Participation has been down a bit this year on weekends. Keeping our numbers up will make it possible to replace the rest of our Killerspin tables with the nicer one-piece Joola tables when we have our fundraiser next year. There will be some changes at the GLTTC… [*]The two additional Joola tables will al ...Continue Reading

There will be table tennis again on Tuesday and Friday evenings starting on April 2nd and 5th. Like last year, we will be having a kanban league on Fridays using software from ttcentral.com. Last years league was a huge success, and we expect good participation again this year. Tuesday and Friday play will be free again this year. You will just need to check in at the front desk so our table tennis program gets credit for your participation. A little later in the year though, we are planning a major fund raising ...Continue Reading
