The Green Lake Community Center is closed tomorrow, Friday, November 10 for Veterans Day. No table tennis. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to lobby the Seattle City Council at the November 1 budget meeting. As things stand now, we will not be making an appearance at that meeting. Seattle Parks and Recreation has proposed tearing down and rebuilding the community center and has suggested they would need to partner with a private organization to pay the cost. We had announced in July that the GLCC would be discontinuing our Tuesday 6 - 9 open play. I'm happy to announce that the center has reversed course and will be letting us continue to play on Tuesdays until basketball leagues resume in November. Our last Tuesday is expected to be November 14. Please spread the word since this is very short notice. Please remember that we need to be completely cleaned up and out of the gym by 9 pm.
